Best advice on internet car purchases
Buying a car off of the internet might sound a little over the edge but with a few precautions you can usually find exactly what you are looking for with a much better price than you would pay locally. With so many cars available you can locate exactly what you want. It is important to make sure that you check the vehicles history by running the cars VIN or vehicle identification number. There are several good sources like carfax and autocheck to name the top companies. I would recomend that when you sign up that you get there multiple VIN search package so that if the car you are looking at just doesnt work out that you can check a few other vehicles. The additional cost is only about $5 and usually lets you search unlimited VIN's for up to 60 days. You can find cars from dealers or individuals. Some good places to look are www.cars.com www.autotrader.com and of course even www.ebay.com . I would recomend that you have any car inspected by a licensed mechanic prior to any used vehicle purchase no matter what deal you find. There are companies that specialize in pre buy vehicle inspections over the internet. To find one just search google.com for pre buy car inspection and you will find a few good ones. Make sure that the service includes a engine combustion presure test and a scope of the engine bore so that you know what condition the engine is in. Upon agreement on a price it is good to get a deposit down either in the form of a simple paypal purchase or a notorized bill of sale and a personal check. Stay away from deals involving money orders or cashiers checks if you are dealing with someone you dont know. Especially when they live out of town from where you are located. Well that just about says it all. Good luck and happy hunting.
