How to survive an alien encounter

For our inaugural post I decided that we should make certain that you get the best advice on how to survive an alien encounter. The best advice I can give would be for you to "Stay Low, Lower Down!" And always run in 90 degree angles to avoid fire from plasma ray weapons and such. Never stare directly into the sun as the rays might damage your retina, and also never stare an alien life form directly in the eyes as they most certainly will gain control of your brain functions causing you to urinate in your pants.
